Yvette Bass

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, friend amongst other things, Yvette Bass entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Age 56. Yvette was born in Jefferson, Louisiana on April 19, 1966. At the tender age of 12 she was baptized at First Zion Baptist Church by the late Reverend Minister Sam Lenox where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. In 1984 Yvette graduated from Riverdale High School and years later she went on to start her own family. She was a proud employee of Cintas where she dedicated 17 years. Newest member of the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale. Known too many as "the sweetest person I ever met" it does her no justice. Daughter of the late Otis Beasley, Sr. and Loviell Youngblood Beasley. Daughter-in-law of the late Geraldine Bass and Shorty Lawson. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 24 years Randy Bass, Sr.; her children Randy Bass, Jr. (Queirra) and Brittany Bass; her grandchildren Shai & Rashad Bass; her siblings, Felicia Ann Tumblin (late Minister Monroe "Quin" Tumblin), JW "Tracy" Beasley, Sheila Beasley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Otis Beasley, Jr. & Ingrid Blache (Glenn), Marie Bass, Wilbert Bass, Shorty Bass, Juanita Martin (Andre), & Sandra Ward (Richard); 2 godchildren Kyrie Hunter & Donald Beasley; 6 aunts, 3 uncles & a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law & sister-in-law. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at New Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 1442 31st Street, Kenner, LA 70065. Viewing begins at 10 am. Service starts at 11 am. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, Metairie, LA.
