He married Celia Ellen Woodland, daughter of Henry H. and Ellen (Fsoter) Woodland, on 1 Nov 1900 in Swan Lake, Bannock County, Idaho. She was born 12 Aug 1882 in Downey, Bannock County, Idaho. She died 10 Dec 1956 in Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho. They are both buried in Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho. BIRTH: Providence Ward Records, 1st item #407 (FHL & BYU film #26367): "Loren Lorey Bassett born 5 June 1877 at Boisa, Adda, Idaho son of Andrew Bassett and Mari E. Crig." DEATH & BURIAL: Obituary: "Death claims LeRoy Bassett. LeRoy Bassett age 59, passed away at his home on Wilson Lane Thursday morning [23 Dec 1937], following a prolonged illness of cancer. The deceased was born on June 5, 1878 at Boise. At the age of 7 years he was left an orphan in Kansas City, MO. He came to Providence, Utah a year later. While living at Woodland, near Downey, he met and married Celia Woodland, whose family were pioneers there and for whom the community was named. The family have since lived in Lava Hot Springs, Ivings, and Nampa and came to Blackfoot 18 years ago. He is survived by his wife and seven children: John, Frank, and Ellis of Blackfoot; Andrew Bassett of Ouray, Colo.; Mrs. Mabel Madsen, McDonaldville; Mrs. Louise Gough and Mrs. Sadie Curtis of Blackfoot." "Leroy Bassett buried Sunday. Funeral service for LeRoy Bassett, 59, were held from the Sandberg Funeral home Sunday [26 Dec 1937] at 2:30, with Howard W.
