Marion Tuhoski, 78, of Fort Collins, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at a local hospice. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Goes Funeral Care. Marion's body will be cremated and the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
Marion Elizabeth Bassett was born Feb. 11, 1927, to Eugene and Anna (Tulley) Bassett in Constableville, N.Y. She married Stanley Tuhoski on Aug. 16, 1947, in Constableville. Marion and Stanley moved to Fort Collins in 1984 from Cleveland from Cleveland, where they had lived for 22 years.
Marion was an avid Broncos Football fan, enjoyed playing pinochle and pitch, and watching her "soaps", especially "One Life to Love", and watching "Wheel of Fortune." She also was an e-mail enthusiast. Marion was a strong and loving woman who fought to the end.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley, her daughter, Diane Brown (and husband David) of Loveland; son, George Tuhoski of Westminster; brother, James Bassett of Port Leyden, N.Y.; sister, Eleanor Manzer of Booneville, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Angela, Riley, Scott, Tyler, Sarah and Nicholas.
Three sons, Ronald, Kenneth and Darrell, her parents and five brothers and sisters preceded Marion in death.
