David Bassett
David Bassett, father of Mrs. George Hudson, 122 Franklin street, cropped dead shortly after 8 o'clock this morning of heart trouble. He was born in Maurice City, Mich., 77 years ago.
He was married to Mrs. Julia Abear-Bassett, of Michigan City, who survives.
Others surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George Hudson, this city; Mrs. L.F. Cybaer, Flint, Mich.; four sons, David Bassett, Jr., Flint, Mich., Arthur Bassett, Tiffon, Ohio, and George and James Bassett, both of Detroit, and a brother, Mack C. Bassett, of Omaha, Neb.
Mr. Bassett was affiliated with St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church of Bay City, Mich., and the Catholic Order of Forresters of that city.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning in the Wilber funeral home with the Rev. Lawrence Weber officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
