Anacortes Woman Dies While Hunting
By Associated Press
WENATCHEE, Oct. 12 ? A 36-year-old Anacortes woman apparently died of pneumonia Monday while on a deer-hunting trip in a forest area above the Entiat Valley town of Ardenvoir.
Mrs. Thomas A. Bassett, who was hunting with her husband, was first believed to have suffered a heart attack. The Chelan County coroner said an examination today indicated pneumonia was the cause.
Bassett reported that his wife had complained of not feeling well and sat down beside a tree. He said he left here there about 2:30 o?clock Monday afternoon. When she failed to return to their camp, he started looking for her and found her dead beside the tree. She was the mother of three children.
A Forest Service crew removed her body late last night.
