Jim Bowlin will officiate. Private Disposition will be in Bass Ranch. Bass died Nov. 29, 2008, in Gallup. He was born May 23, 1944, in Crownpoint. Bass was a welder, miner, and rancher. He worked for Trans Western pipeline, and various uranium mine and P&M Coal Mine. Survivors include his wife, Marie Bass; daughters, Tina Bush of Thoreau, Robin Bass of Mesa; brother, Tommy Montoya of Fort Defiance; two grandchildren. Bass was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sarah Bass; sister, Rosemary Davis. Pallbearers will be Bobby Knight, Jimmy Herman, Dicky Barron, Jay Radosevich, Jerry Elkins, Olsen Arviso Sr. The family will receive relatives and friends at Elim Haven Mission, following services. Donations may be made to the New Mexico Cancer Center, 2240 College Dr., Gallup, 87301.
