Patrick Dewayne Bass
Funeral services for Patrick Dewayne Bass, age 35 of Kelly, will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2023, from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church at Grayson with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery at Kelly under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Bass Family will host visitation at the church on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Pat was born on August 12, 1987, at Alexandria, LA to the union of his parents, the late Patrick Arthur Bass and Deborah Lou Givens Bass. He passed from this life suddenly on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Monroe, Louisiana. Pat loved life and loved having fun with his family and church family at Cross Roads Baptist Church, where he was a very active member. He worked in the Retreat Ministry at the church. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and loved grilling. He was definitely known as the "Grill Master". He also loved sports and loved coaching baseball and softball. Pat would light up any room with his smile. He was the heart of his family and he will be missed more than words can say.
Left to cherish his memory and the life they shared is his beloved wife, Gail L. Bass of Kelly; two sons, Ryland Bass and Tanner Flores both of Kelly; his brothers, Sam Bass (Maria) of Columbia and Gregory Shryock of Calhoun; his niece, Emory Bass; nephews, John Thomas Bass and Gabe Shryock; and his adopted son at heart, Taryn Varnell.
