Saturday, April 20, 2002, in Byron City Cemetery with Rev. Franklin Etheridge officiating. -Mr. Bass was the son of the late Hezzie and Nettie Sanders Bass. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. -Survivors: wife, Jeanne Bass, Byron; children, James Dewaine Bass, Byron, Farrell Walker Bass, Byron, Laurie L. Garner, Jefferson, Vickie Jordan, Ladson, SC and Debra Rich, Byron; step-children, Terry Hill Spring City, TN, Dewayne Hill, Byron and Michael Hill, Macon; sisters, Sara Smith, Centerville and Ruthie Hortman, Roberta; twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren. -Visitation: 7:00 until 9:00P.M., Friday, April 19, 2002 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. -Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
