Basil Randolph Bassett
DURHAM - Basil Randolph ?Randy? Bassett, son of Basil Wallace and Barbara Sparrow Bassett of Efland died Monday afternoon, December 2, at his home.
Born November 27, 1957, in Durham, Randy attended Jordan High School and Council Christian Academy. He was employed with Public Service Company for a number of years.
Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Andre Bassett.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Randy Wallace Bassett of Princeton, N.J.; his sister, Sharon Autry and husband Jerry; his brother, Rick Whitfield and wife Terry; and his long-time companion, Robin Russ, who faithfully and lovingly cared for him during his illness.
A private service will be held at a later date.
