Kosko, Lois M. COHOES Lois M. Kosko, 79, of Heartt Avenue, Cohoes died at her residence on Sunday, January 31, 2010 with her loving family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. Lois was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion Dunson Bessette. She was an LPN working at Van Rensselaer Manor and later was a private duty nurse. She enjoyed her nursing career and as recently as two years ago caring for family, friends and neighbors. She raised four daughters and enjoyed gardening, birds and cooking. She was the wife of the late Stephen Kosko. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Gladysz of Cohoes, Barbara (John) Dawkins of Cohoes, Katherine Horn of Waterford and Stephanie Kosko of Cohoes; also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her grandson, Stephen Hotaling. Sister of Alfred Bessette of Calif. and the late Rose Pitts and Edward Bessette. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. Interment in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Boght. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Lisa Stratton and family friend, Alice Collum for their support and care that allowed our Mother to remain at home and her hospice care givers.
