  Notes	Bridgeport Telegram, Friday, June 22, 1973 William Bassett Dies; Ex-Producto Exec, 83 William T. Bassett, 83, of 115 Alice street, a retired personnel director of the Producto Machines company, died yesterday in Bridgeport hospital. Services will take place tomorrow at 8 a.m. in the Mullins and Redgate funeral home, 1297 Park avenue, and at 8:45 o’clock in Our Lady of the Assumption church with a Mass of the Resurrection. Burial will be in St. Michael’s cemetery. Born in Ludlow, Mass., Mr. Bassett had lived in the Bridgeport area for most of his life. He was a former Republican alderman of Bridgeport and a past president of the Bridgeport Republican club. He was a former financial secretary of the Redmen, a treasurer of the Foresters, and a former counselor of the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors are a son, Richard A. Bassett of Tennessee; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine E. Corcoran of Bridgeport; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Simko of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. George Schiller of Burlingame, Calif.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
