E.A. Bass
Earlee Albert Bass, 69, of Rt. 1 died Sunday in the Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Bass was born in Blythewood, son of the late H.K. and Sarah Roberts Bass. He was a member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church and had been employed by the post engineers at Ft. Jackson for 17 years before retiring.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Very Boyles Bass; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Boney of Blythewood; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hood and Mrs. Estelle Cook of Blythewood and Mrs. Pearl Albert of Topeka, Kan.; and three brothers, Ivey Bass of Blythewood, Maxie Bass of Columbia and Gary F. Bass Sr. of Winnsboro.
Funeral plans will be announced by Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel.

Peake-Bass
Of interest to the coupleā??s many friends is the marriage of Mrs. Very Boyles Peake to Earlee Albert Bass, which took place at 5 p.m. April 19 in Ridgeway. The Reverend Earl Moseley, pastor of Pine View Baptist church, officiated, using the ring ceremony.
Mrs. Bass is the daughter of the late F.D. Boyles and Mrs. Georgia Corley Boyles of Columbia. Mr. Bass is the son of the late H.K. Bass and Mrs. Sarah Roberts Bass of Fairfield county.
Mr. and Mrs. Bass are making their home on the Monticello road.
