  Notes	The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, August 30, 2005 Glayds Bass McAteer FORT MILL -- Mrs. Gladys Bass McAteer, 71, of 114 Thomas Ave. died Monday Aug. 29, 2005, at home. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Unity Cemetery, with the Revs. Roger Brown and Jason Coley officiating. A native of York County, Mrs. McAteer was a daughter of the late James Henry and Julia Conrad Bass. She was a member of Westerly Hills Baptist Church, American Legion Lady's Auxiliary and VFW Lady's Auxiliary. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Mills Leon McAteer; her daughter, Donna Chavero of Charlotte; two sons, Terry McAteer and Mike McAteer, both of Fort Mill; her brother, Henry Bass Jr. of Camden; her sister, Betsy William of Lowery; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 today at Westerly Hills Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Westerly Hills Baptist Church, 1730 Doves Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Fort Mill Funeral Home is in charge.
