She was born in Arthur the daughter of John and Margaret Degnan Bassett. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth T. Kern of Springfield; one brother, Charles E. Bassett of Jacksonville, Fla.; one nephew, John J. Kern of Springfield; and one niece, Mrs. Raymond Jascula of Country Club Hills. Private services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Catlin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
