Margaret Bassett Married In Peoria To John R. Morrow
Mr. and Mrs. James H. Bassett, 227 West Capitol avenue, announce the marriage of their daughter, Margaret, to John R. Morrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Morrow, Odell. The ceremony took place Saturday evening in Peoria, Rev. Father Shay officiating.
Mrs. Morrow is a graduate of Springfield High school and is employed in the division of purchases and supplies at the state house.
Mr. Morrow attended Notre Dame university and is employed in the corporation department of the secretary of state?s office.
The couple left Saturday night for a trip through the east and will return about August 18. They will make their home in this city.

Margaret Morrow
Mrs. Margaret Morrow, 72, of 900 S. 4th St. died at 1:45 a.m. Friday at Memorial Medical Center.
A Springfield resident since 1916, Mrs. Morrow was born in Arthur, the daughter of John H. and Margaret Degnan Bassett. She retired in 1966 after working for 45 years in the state Purchasing Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Morrow, in 1971.
Surviving are two sisters, Miss Kathryn Bassett and Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Kern, both of Springfield; a brother, Charles E. of Jacksonville; a nephews, John J. Kern of Springfield; and a niece, Mrs. Raymond Jascula of Country Club Hills.
Private services will be held Monday at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
