Bass, 62, of Gorin, Mo., formerly of Conesville, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Conesville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today. Mr. Bass died Tuesday at Scottland County Nursing Home, Memphis, Mo. He was a farmhand in the Conesville area. He married Harriette Wagner in 1949 in Muscatine. She died June 9. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include daughters, Tracey (Mrs. Dan) Swanson, Muscatine; Barbara (Mrs. Clarence) Skipton, Toni Brown and Veronica (Mrs. Robert) Mittan, all of Gorin; and Leah (Mrs. Charles) Colbert, Chickamauga, Ga.; sons, Bill, Boot, Clint and Pete, all of Gorin; and Fred, Wilton; 12 grandchildren; 27 step-grandchildren; 31 great-grand-children; 27 step-great-grandchild-ren; and sisters, Louise MacEachern and Amy (Mrs. Donald) Westaway, both of Conesville. A son, Jeff, died in infancy.
