Leroy Bass
OXFORD ? Leroy Bass of 312 Lanier St. died Friday afternoon at this home after a brief illness.
He was a retired farmer.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Sunday in Oak Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Mack Timberlake. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Bass; four sons, Leroy Thomas Bass, George Robert Bass and Charles M. Bass, all of Morristown, N.J., and Samuel B ass of Durham; two brothers, James Bass of Durham and Waddell Bass of Oxford; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Lee Downey of Braddock, Pa., and Mrs. Betty Mae Harris of Petersburg, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Crawford Allen, Willie Marable, Willie Lee McCaden, Robert Owens, Billy Strater and L.P. Wortham.
