L.J. Bessette Dies At Residence
Leroy J. Bessette died yesterday at his residence, 149 North Greensubh Rd. after a long illness. Born in Troy 41 years ago, he was the son of the late George and Florence Binck Bessette. He had lived in this area all his life and before his illness was employed by the Gay Express Co.
He was a veteran of Wrold War II and member of Trojan Psot, VFW. He also was a member of the Teamsters Union.
The survivors are his wife, the former Mary Poland; three sons, Leroy, Christopher and Mark; a daughter, Lynne; three sisters, Mrs. Florence DuSurneau of Albany, Mrs. Joseph Mazoway of North Greenbush and Mrs. Ronald Wilson of Averill Park; four brothers, Francis of Round Lake, George os Sanland, Calif., John of Speigletown and Ronald Bessette of Troy and severan nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Ave. and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Jude?s Church, Wynaniskill.
