Claire D. (Graves) Perreault
Claire D. Perreault 1929 - 2011 CHICOPEE Claire D. (Graves) Perreault, 82, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, September 4, 2011. She passed into Eternal Life from Wingate at West Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her caregivers. She was born in Holyoke on August 10, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Harvey P. Graves, Sr. and Yvonne (Bessette) Graves. She lived in Holyoke for many years before moving to the Willimansett section of Chicopee around 1986. During her early working career, she was employed as a hat maker at the former Winfield Hat Shop in Holyoke and had last worked as a card maker at the former Pratt & Austin Company in Holyoke. During her leisure time, Claire enjoyed knitting and traveling with her many friends. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by: her beloved husband and best friend, Paul P. Perreault, who was Called Home on August 10, 1975; her dear sister, Shirley Crow, who was Called Home in 1987; her dear brother, Harvey P. "Sonny" Graves, Jr., who was Called Home in 2004; her loving daughter-in-law, Debbie Perreault, who was Called Home in 2009; and her loving son, Kenneth Perreault, Sr., who was Called Home on August 7, 2010. She leaves: her devoted son, Paul P. Perreault, Jr., and his wife, Margaret deLiefde Perreault, of Chicopee; her six cherished grandchildren, Dominique Perreault, Aron Perreault, Kevin Rogers, and Tyler Perreault, all of Chicopee, Rev. Kenneth Perreault, Jr. of Wyoming and Eric P. Perreault and his wife, Michelle of Tonowanda, NY; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Justine Perreault and Eric Pierre Perreault, Jr., both of Tonowanda, NY; her dear sister-in-law, Joan Graves, of Chicopee; her many dear nephews and nieces including her special niece and godchild, Karen Deauseault and her husband, Lester and their children, all of Chicopee; and many other extended family members in Massachusetts, New York and Maine. Her funeral will be held on Saturday morning, September 10, 2011 beginning at the St. Pierre Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 8:15 a.m.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Rose Chapel on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, c/o Mercy Medical Center, 271 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
