Howard L. Sherman
Howard L. Sherman, of Plymouth, died on Friday, June 22, at Plymouth Crossings. Born in Plymouth January 5, 1915 a son of the late Charles F. and Gladys (Chase) Sherman. He was educated in the Plymouth schools and served with the US Army National Guard. Howard was a Builder and worked with his father Charles F. Sherman and Son in Plymouth. He was a Past commodore of the South Shore Outboard Association, Past Commodore of the Bare Cove Power Squadron in Hingham. He was a founder and past club caller for three square dance clubs: Belles and Beaus in Weymouth, Hobomock Hoedowners in Pembroke and Checkmates in Reading. Howard taught line dancing at the Plymouth Council on Aging for 20 years as well as the Wareham council on Aging. A former scout master for Cub Scout Troop 47 for 10 years in the 50s. Howard was the beloved husband of the late Dora M. (Bessette) Sherman. Loving father of Melody L. Elibero of Brockton and the late Ray Sherman of Texas. Father-in-law of Patricia Ghidoni Sherman. Cherished grandfather of Wayne Elibero, Terilyn Elibero, Timothy Sherman, Jessica (Sherman) Trober and the late Daniel Sherman. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. At Howards request there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Jordan Hospital Breast Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St., Plymouth, MA. 02360.
