  Notes	Clara Bassett Ross Obituary (newspaper unknown) Died At her home in the town of Williston, North Dakota, on Tuesday, Oct. 14th, 1897, Clara Ross, aged 44 years and three months, (wife of William Ross). Mrs. Ross had been sick only about two weeks, but up to within three or four days of her death no serious results were anticipated. She had caught cold a few days before her confinement, which brought on pneumonia and terminated in congestion of the lungs. Mrs. Ross was a most exemplary woman, an affectionate wife, a loving and kind mother, patient and sweet-tempered at all times and under all circumstances. She leaves a husband and eleven children, the youngest a babe two weeks old, and a host of warm friends who deeply feel her untimely demise. The funeral, which took place on Saturday morning from the Congregational church, was one of the largest gatherings of the kind ever occurring in this city, the services being conducted by Rev.. J.H. Hjetland.
