Born and educated in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, she was a longtime resident before moving here 18 years ago. Her husband, Joseph Caouette, died in 1961. She leaves a son, Joseph of Chicopee; four daughters, Lucille Fleming, Gabrielle Bernier, and Yvette Hebert of Holyoke, and Rita Leblond of Framingham; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral is Friday morning at Messier Funeral Home and Immaculate Conception Church, with burial at Precious Blood Cemetery. Calling hoours are this afternoon and evening, and memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 300, Memphis, Tenn., 38148-0552.
