George Thomas Bass
George Thomas Bass, better known to Madison County citizens as ?Felt? Bass, age 76, died Tuesday in a nursing home in Jacksonville after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County where he was engaged in farming until his retirement. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bass. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Bass of Madison; 6 daughters, Mrs. Betty Cruce and Mrs. Juanita Ketring, both of Perry; Mrs. Bobbie Milford and Mrs. Ruby Rodgers, both of Jacksonville; Mrs. Jack Milford of Mackintosh; and Mrs. Ethel Cooer of Madison; 3 sons, Tebo Bass and T. J. Bsss, both of Madison; and George Bass of Chiefland; 1 brother, Sid Bass of Madison; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at Beggs Funeral Home with interment in San Pedro Cemetery.
