FENNIMORE, Wis. - Thomas F. Bass, 60, of Fennimore, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, Madison.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fennimore, with Pastor Charles Miller officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the church. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Larson Family Funeral Home, Fennimore, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1940, in Blue River, son of Thomas L. and Nellie Marie (Cooley) Bass.
He was married to Janice Canaan from 1960 to 1982. He married Mary Crowley Wagner Bass in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Bass, of Fennimore; a son, Thomas E. Bass, of Cobb; a daughter, Lynda (fiancee, Doug Enzenroth), of Mineral Point; four stepchildren, Lisa (Dave) Baumgard, of Mahtomedi, Minn., Cheryl (Chris) Larson, of Menomonie, Joe (Sharon) Wagner, of Oshkosh, and Bob Wagner, of La Crosse; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Clinton (Norma) Bass, of Beloit; and a sister, Ila Dubel Adams, of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Jim and Ivan Bass; and a sister, Betty Harwood.
