Jettie Virginia Kincer Bass
Jettie Virginia Kincer Bass, 81, of Speedwell, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Ora Mae Creger Kincer. She was a member of Speedwell United Methodist Church and worked as an attended at 4th Avenue Exxon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. "Joe" Bass.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Jeff Lowe of Rural Retreat, and Mary Jo and Randy McKenzie of Hillsville;sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Tena Bass of Cripple Creek, Lynn and Marietta Bass of Wytheville, Terry and Tina Bass of Wytheville, Booty and Debbie Bass of Speedwell, Mark and Sandy Bass of Max Meadows;sister, Ruth Cline of Manassas;sisters-in-law, Helen Bass of Speedwell, Barbara Bass of Wytheville;special care giver, Jennifer Bennett; 13 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Doug Stuart and the Rev. Richard Collins with the interment at the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends at Grubb Funeral Home Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. Grubb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
