Mrs. A. Sussman, 200 Northcliffe Boulevard, is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Basest (formerly Helen Sussman), and son, Howard, of Sault Ste. Marie, for two weeks.
Gordon Basest was listed as "Gordon Bassett" in a 1941 wedding announcement for his brother, Alan Alexander.

A pretty house wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Sadowski, Massey, Ontario when Miss Leah Sadowski became the bride of Dr. Alex A. Bassett, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bassett, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on April 6th. Rabbi Fishman of Sault Ste. Marie officiated. The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a heaven blue dress with matching hat and corsage of orchids. She was attended by Mrs. H. Hershorn of Toronto, her sister, as matron of honor in powder blue with corsage of roses. Gordon Bassett of Sault Ste. Marie, brother of the groom, attended him. Mrs. Saul Friedman of Sault Ste. Marie played the wedding music.
