Hold Rites Today for Frank Bessette
Funeral services for Frank Bessette, 82, brother of Antoine Bessette, of Willsboro, will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. today from the Notre Dame des Victoires church in Whitehall. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels cemetery.
Mr. Bessette, who had been residing in Troy for the past several months, died Wednesday (Jan. 24) at Troy hospital. He had resided here the greater part of his life.
Other survivors include five sons, Frank, Jr., Leon, Charles, and Henry Bessette, all of Whitehall; and Warren Bessette, with the U.S. Army in England; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Gordon, Mrs. George Munger, and Mrs. Hobart Conlon, all of Troy; Mrs. Albert Neddo, Schenectady; Mrs. Mitchell LaChappelle, Mrs. Henry Manell and Mrs. Frank J. Omelia, all of Whitehall; two other brothers, William Bessette, Johnson City, and Filmore Bessette, Swanton, Vermont; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Suprenant, Hudson Falls.

Frank Bessette
Whitehall - Frank Bessette, 82, died in the Troy Hospital, at 10:30 P.M. Wednesday. The body has been brought to Whitehall and taken to the Harold A. Scott Funeral home, Saunders Street.
Mr. Bessette had been making his home in Troy the past several months, but had lived here a great many years. He had been employed on the town highways and in his younger days he was a stone mason. He was a member of Notre Dame des Victoires Church.
Survivors are five sons, Frank Bessette, Jr., Leon Bessette, Charles Bessette, Henry Bessette, all of Whitehall; Warren Bessette, who is with the U.S. Army in England; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Gordon, Mrs. George Munger, Mrs. Hobart Conlon, Troy; Mrs. Albert Neddo, Schenectady; Mrs. Mitchell LaChappelle, Mrs. Henry Manell, Mrs. Frank J. Omella, Whitehall; three brothers, William Bessette, Johnson City; Antoine Bessette, Willsboro; Filmore Bessette, Swanton, Vermont, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Suprenant, Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted in Notre Dame des Victoires Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
