      W.H. Bassett Dies at Orleans at Advanced Age
      Was Formerly Connected With Hoffman Bros. Lumber Firm Here

      Word was received here Sunday evening of the death at his ho
      Orleans, Ind., of W.H. Bassett, formerly a prominent business man of Fo
      Wayne, and the grandfather of Mr. Guy Bassett, Mrs. J.H. Hanna and Miss Helen
      Bassett, of this city.
      The death of Mr. Bassett occurred about 6:45 o’clock Sunday evening
      and was due to senility. Mr. Bassett was seventy-six years of age. For about
      twenty years Mr. Bassett was connected with the Hoffman Bros. lumber firm in
      this city but about ten years ago he went to Orleans, where he engaged in the
      lumber business. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter, all of
      whom reside at Orleans. The sons were associated with their father in
      business.

      The funeral services will be held at Orleans on Tuesday and will be
      attended by several Fort Wane relatives and probably by several of Mr.
      Bassett’s former business associates in this city.
