  Notes	Elmira Star Gazette, Tuesday, October 28, 1930 Amos E. Bassett, Sr. Amos E. Bassett, Sr., 73, died Sunday at 10 p.m. at the home of his son, Frank Bassett, 411 High Street, after an extended illness. He spent the most of his life in and around Canton, Pa., until the last few years he had resided with his son in Elmira. He is survived by seven sons, Beman, Harry and Martin, all of Canton, Pa.; James of Tioga, Pa., Jay of Roaring Branch, Amos of Williamsport and Frank of Elmira; a daughter, Mrs. May Blenlieh of Elmira, and a number of grandchildren. The funeral will be held at Collins & Stull funeral parlors, Canton, Pa., Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Charles Figart of Sylvania, Pa., will officiate.
