Nelia S. Rose
Death came Wednesday morning to end the suffering of Mrs. Nelia Bassett, who has been many years a resident of Milton Junction.
Nelia S. Rose was born in Almond, Allegany Co., N. Y., April 24, 1851. She came with her father and family to Wisconsin in 1856, and after living for three years in the town of Scott, Sheboygan county, moved to the town of Milton, Rock county in 1859, where she has lived ever since. She was married to Albert Bassett March 18, 1875. Two children were born of this union: Pearl, who died at the age of two years in September, 1880, and Ray, who survives her. She had been in poor health for many years. Mrs. I. G. Stone and Mrs. C. H. Osborn, two sisters, and Anson Rose, a brother, and her son Ray are left to mourn their loss. She joined the M. E. church at Milton many years ago, later transferring her membership to Milton Junction. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the church, Pastor W. J. Perry officiating. Interment at the Milton Junction cemetery.
