M. Chris Bassett

M. Chris Bassett, 73, passed away peacefully, in the early morning, on January 31st, 2025, with his eternal sweetheart, Cathy, at his side, after a long battle with complications from Parkinson's disease.
Chris was born on March 25th, 1951, as the fourth child to Walter and Ruby (Clark) Bassett. Walter and Ruby divorced when Chris was a toddler. Ruby later married Ralph West. Chris grew up in their blended family in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Chris learned to be a good mechanic from an early age. He received a car at age 15, and since he couldn't drive yet, he completely tore it apart and put it back together, including a new rebuilt Chevy engine. He had a knack for figuring out how things worked and could fix anything. After graduating from Pleasant Grove High School, he was called to serve an LDS Mission in the West Germany Mission. His mission was cut short due to injuries from being hit by a car while riding his bike.
He met Cathy Colleen Thompson in 1968, at a church Stake dance. After Chris' mission, they were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25th, 1971. Chris and Cathy initially lived in Provo but moved to Orem, where they started their family. Their first three children (Bryan, Chad, Dustin) were born while living in Orem. Chris worked at Boyer's Automotive in Provo. He was a hard worker and excelled as a proficient auto mechanic.
Chris and a longtime friend often worked on project cars. He built the motors while his friend handled the paint. In 1976, his 1957 Chevrolet truck clinched first place at the Utah Autorama, a prestigious classic hot rod competition. He loved reminiscing about that award-winning truck, which he proudly kept throughout his life.
In 1975, Chris began working at Gene Harvey Chevrolet as a mechanic and soon became the Service Manager, serving for nearly 40 years in total. "Mr. Harvey" was like a father to him. To Chris, the dealership was more than just a workplace - it was like family, and he cherished the mechanics and the team that kept it running smoothly. Throughout his career, he earned numerous accolades, including Service Supremacy Awards and multiple Rocky Mountain Chevrolet Dealers Service Manager of the Year honors. Chris consistently went above and beyond, touching countless lives with his dedication both at work and everywhere else. Chris always put his family first, helping them in every facet of life. He also helped friends and strangers alike, regardless of what they needed.
Chris and Cathy moved to Lehi, Utah, in April of 1976, and continued to grow their family with three more children (Todd, Amy, Trent). Amy, the only girl of six children, was always referred to as his "little princess." Chris was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family. He loved coaching his children's baseball, basketball, and soccer teams, as well as sharing in their many adventures. Together, they enjoyed both snow and water skiing, boating, jet skiing, and camping-always embracing the thrill of the outdoors.
Chris had a passion for hobbies that connected him to loved ones. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandpa Clark and Uncle Dee, a tradition he later carried on with his own children and grandchildren. His love for outdoor adventures was matched only by his enthusiasm for anything with a motor. As a true racing enthusiast, he had a deep passion for NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, #3 Dale Earnhart Sr.
Chris was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings, including two Bishoprics. He and Cathy also served together as missionaries in the Church's Addiction Recovery Program. Chris had a deep love for service, especially when it involved mentoring young men. He cherished his time in the Young Men's program, particularly a memorable trip paddling the lakes and rivers of Yellowstone National Park at Camp Loll with his sons. One of his greatest sources of pride was seeing all five of his sons earn their Eagle Scout Award and serve missions, and his daughter achieving the Young Women's Recognition Award.
He was a man of faith and testimony, quietly living his beliefs. Chris was always there to support and uplift his family with love and encouragement in all their endeavors, alongside his eternal sweetheart. Cathy was the love of his life and his greatest support. She cared for him devotedly until he departed from this life. His life and huge heart touched everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact. We love him with all of our hearts, and he will be deeply missed.
Chris is survived by his wife, Cathy, six children: Bryan (Suzie), Chad (Terral) Dustin (Kate), Todd (Jennifer), Amy (Milo) Lines, Trent (Whitney), twenty-six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, four brothers, Ike, Theo, Kerry, Stacy, and two sisters, Linda and Carleen. He is preceded in death by his fathers, Walter Bassett and Ralph West; mother, Ruby Clark; sister, Toinette Barnson; and brother, Sid West.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8th, at 11:00 AM, at the Lehi Utah Meadow View Stake Center at: 851 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah 84043.
Viewings will be held on Friday, February 7th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, and again Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the same Stake Center.
Interment will be at the Lehi City Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
A special thank you to, first and foremost, his loving wife for her constant support and care in his final years and to all those who spent many hours caring for and serving Chris in his later years, especially those at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center in Lehi, Utah.

Stephen Baas Stricken, Died at Car Wheel

Wife Uninjured as Auto Lands in Ditch
While driving to the Lake Monona cottage of his son, Alexius Baas, Madison musician, Wednesday afternoon, Stephen C. Baas, 79, of 516 S. Paterson st., fell dead of heart disease in the arms of his wife.

The car ran into the ditch, striking a small pole. Police were notified and Sgt. H. A. White and Officer Gilbert Brumm removed Mr. Baas to St. Mary's hospital, where Dr. H. M. Kay pronounced him dead. The body was removed to the Frautschi Funeral home.

Motorist Calls Ambulance

Mrs. Baas said her husband had not complained of being ill as they drove toward the cottage. While on highway 5- in Lake Edge park, Mr. Baas reached up to turn on the windshield wiper and slumped back into the arms of his wife. A passing motorist, noticing the car leave the road, called the police ambulance.

For many years a capitol policeman and elevator operator, Mr. Baas had a wide circle of friends among capitol employees and high state officials. Shortly before his death, Mrs. Baas had expressed regret over the deaths of Justice W. C. Owen and John J. Blaine. He had been retired from capitol for several years.

Ardent Fisherman, Hunter

An ardent fisherman and hunter, Mr. Baas won a cup years ago for two-mile rowboat racing on Madison lakes. He also took a keen interest in his son's musical activities. Despite his years, Mr. Baas braved a blustery snow storm to accompany his son to Fond du Lac, where the latter directed music at a Christmas midnight mass last year.

Bornin in Milwaukee, Jan. 3, 1855, Mr. Baas moved her in 1864 and lived in the third ward since that time. He was a former Madison alderman.

Mr. Baas for many years was a member of the form of Chamberlain and Baas operating a boat livery on Madison lakes. He also operated a boat livery at the site of the present Wirka line.

Member of Maennerchor

During his long residence here, Mr. Baas was a member of the Madison Maennerchor, the Modern Woodmen of America, and the Mozart club.

Survivors include his widow, son Alexius, and a sister Miss Amelia Baas, Madison.

When Mr. Baas came from Milwaukee, his family took possession of the home which stook on the site of the Chicago and North Western depot. The railroad had not been built at the time. When the company extended its line to Madison in the early 60's, the Baas family vacated the house to make way for a passenger station. The homestead still stands in the 700 block on Jenifer st.

Enjoyed Reminiscences

Mr. Baas always enjoyed indulging in reminiscences of the old Madison days. He remembered when practically all of the territory lying between his home, on the depot site, and the Yahara river was under water after heavy spring rains and how resident of the at side used row boats for transportation.

For years, Mr. Baas sang in the bass section of the Maennerchor, of which organization his son is now director, and of the Mozart club. Some time ago he retired from active membership of the Maennerchor and Mozart clubs, bur remained as an associated member.

Served in Council

He served in the common council in 1882 from the old third ward. His aldermanic colleagues from the same ward were Benijah Warnes and Dexter Curtis. The late James Conklin was mayor at the time.

Funeral services will be held at the Frautschi funeral parlors Saturday at 2 p.m.

A double quartet of the Maennerchor will sing and pallbearers will be Frank C. Blied, Karl Loprich, George Scherer, George Schaus, Otto Niemann and John Marhoefer, all members of the society.

Enid (Bassett) Littlefield
April 25, 1942 ? December 20, 2021

?Here?s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above.?
Enid Kay Bassett Littlefield gave her heart to the ?God she loved? and was called home on Monday, December 20, 2021. Having been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer at the end of May 2020, she exemplified grace and courage as she accepted God?s will for her. Thankfully, He blessed this world to have her warmth and kindness for an added year and seven months for which we are forever grateful.
Enid, or Eddie as she was known by her friends, loved to tell people that she had been born and raised in Wyoming, which meant that she was tough. She was born on April 25, 1942, to Leah and Paul Bassett and enjoyed a sweet childhood growing up in the small town of Lovell with her four siblings?Clark, Myrtle, Sharleen, and Craig. She was a shy, tiny, blonde-haired, brown-eyed girl, with a wonderful wit and joyful soul. She was known among her classmates for never having a hair out of place or a wrinkle in her clothes. She was amazed and humbled by the out-pouring of love from her classmates in her last few years and spoke of them all with great fondness. Though she had traveled and lived all over the world, she always counted Lovell as her home.
After graduating from Lovell High School in 1960, Enid attended BYU in Provo, Utah, where she met her husband, Gary. He said that he saw her walking on campus one day, ?this beautiful, blonde girl,? and knew that he was going to marry her, and he did on May 24, 1962, in the Salt Lake City Temple for all eternity. She often said that he was the only man she ever loved. He drove her crazy, but he was ?the love of (her) life.? That?s when the real adventures began.
In 1965, they were living in Orem, Utah, when their first child, Tianne, was born. Enid adored being a wife and mother, and she devoted the rest of her life to this calling. Her second child, Polly, was born in 1967, and this family of four enjoyed a few years of quiet simplicity until Gary took a job in Iran. They lived in Ahwaz, Iran for two years while Gary helped establish the country?s steel mill, and they loved it! They took advantage of their time overseas and traveled all over the world which she counted as a wonderful blessing.
When they returned to the states, they moved to the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where they were blessed with their third child, Jill, in 1974. Then they moved to Houston, Texas, and in 1978, Jason was born, and Enid's family was complete. They moved several more times to places such as Wyoming, Indiana, Colombia (South America), Montana, Utah, and Idaho. She loved hunting for rocks, enjoying scenic drives, tending to her flowers, yard and plants, listening to beautiful music, laughing with friends and family, and dealing with stress by power cleaning. Everyone who met her adored her and could see the love she had for her Savior radiating from her countenance. The world was truly blessed with 79 years of her quiet strength, unceasing faith, and extraordinary love. Now, she is embarking on her last and greatest adventure. She will be buried next to her eternal companion in Rexburg, Idaho? until we meet again.
A ?graduation ceremony? will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The services will be recorded and posted for all of her friends via this obituary page. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.

Theresa Renee Bass
October 15, 1956 ? November 22, 2022

Theresa Renee Bass, a devoted family woman and significant grassroots leader in Kennett Square, died unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in the Historic East Linden Neighborhood on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022.
Born in Ashe County, North Carolina, Theresa came to Kennett Square in 1959, eventually moving with her six siblings to a historic home at the heart of the Borough in 1971. Her mother, Ophelia Bass, was the rock of the family, and Theresa was devoted to her, caring for her at home through a long illness.
As a young child, Theresa helped support her hard-working mother by caring for her younger siblings, and she never wavered in her dedication to her brothers and sisters: Harold Creon Bass and Avery Allan Bass, who predeceased her, and Grayling Bass, Drusilla Butler, Michael Bass, and Lesia Bass, all of New Castle County, Delaware. She and her siblings, along with her life-long friend Barbara Williams, led legendary social lives as part of a tight-knit, small-town community. Theresa was a 1976 graduate of Kennett High School.
Theresa, called Sissy by family, purchased a home near her mother and worked long hours as a machinist while raising her own children, Jermaine A. Bass, LaToya M. Myers, and Tara N. Irons. After an on-the-job accident, Theresa devoted herself entirely to community leadership and to helping to raise her grandchildren, who were her light and her hope: Payton Ophelia Corp, Taliyah Renee (Ren) Irons, and Ariella Nicole Irons.
Theresa was also trustee of Bethel AME Church in Kennett Square, and participated actively in many community groups, from Playback Theater to Bridging the Community. Other interests included drawing and painting, local history, gardening, word searches, and fast cars. She had encyclopedic knowledge of the region?s African-American families and the relationships between them, and found many ways to lend a personal helping hand whenever she could.
As a community organizer, Theresa?s innovative spirit and commitment to action were remarkably effective. Determined to stay when homes began to fall into disrepair and levels of street violence rose, Theresa brought neighbors and allies together to focus energy on the needs of children, and she was tireless in her efforts to provide meals, academic help, social activities, coats, holiday gifts, and constant personal support to children and youth. She pioneered a humane approach to discouraging adverse street life in partnership with three successive police chiefs, relying on direct communication and encouraging personal relationships to win the peace.
The founder and leader of the Joseph & Sarah Carter Community Development Corporation, Theresa and the social movement she inspired profoundly improved the Historic East Linden Neighborhood, the Borough of Kennett Square, and the region. Her particular commitments to supporting immigrant families, making connections across social boundaries, and investing in humanity were transformative; these were rooted in her deep faith, and Theresa?s tireless service was shaped directly by a deeply prayerful devotion to the Lord. She had many friends across the region; she was powerfully influential in local government; and she was a vital, positive force in the lives of generations of children and young people.
In addition to her siblings, children, and grandchildren, Theresa is survived by her siblings? spouses and their children: Harold?s son Jaheem; Grayling?s spouse Donna and their son Curtis; Drusilla?s husband Barry Butler and their son Aaron; and Michael?s wife Lisa and their children Sharí, Ashley, and Malcolm. She is also survived by her uncle, George McMillan. Her father, Isaac Cox Bass, predeceased her.
A service of remembrance will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Advent 401 N Union Street, Kennett Square on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with viewing beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial at Union Hill Cemetery will follow. A recorded conversation with Theresa Bass about her life and activism is available in the StoryCorps archive at https://archive.storycorps.org/interviews/theresa-bass-and-ethan-cramer/
Flowers may be sent to church on the day of the service. The flower theme colors are red and white. Flowers can be ordered from Zena Florist https://zenaflorist.com/

HISTORY OF RANDOLPH COUNTY, MISSOURI
(By Alexander H. Waller 1920)

Church A. Bassett, who is now engaged in farming on his place, two and
one-half miles southeast of Moberly, has been a resident of Randolph County
for 40 years and is one of the old time employees of the Wabash Railroad
Company. Mr. Bassett was born in Winslow, Maine, Dec. 17, 1845, and is a son
of William C. and Nancy (Pickins) Bassett.
William C. Bassett was born in Bridgewater, Mass, and during his
lifetime was extensively engaged in buying and selling cattle, an occupation
which was known as a drover in the early days. He bought and drove more cattle
out of the state of Maine that any other buyer of his time. There we
railroads then for the shipment of cattle and he drove them to market at
Brighton, Cambridge, and other Massachusetts towns. In later life he came west
and died in Shelbyville in June, 1873. Nancy (Pickins) Bassett was born in
Middleboro, Mass., and was there married to Mr. Bassett. She died in Moberly
at the home of her son, Church A. Bassett.
Church A. Bassett was one of a family of nine children born to his
parents and was the seventh in order of birth. He was educated in the public
schools of Winslow, Maine and Waterville Academy. He remained at home with his
parents until he was 28 years old when he was married and some time afterwards
came west and lived in Illinois for a time. In 1880, he came to Moberly and
entered the employ of the Wabash Railroad Company and served in various
capacities with that company and was a locomotive fireman for a numb
years. He is the owner of 160 acres of land and in recent years he has resided
in Moberly and operated his farm two and one-half miles southwest of Moberly.
Mr. Bassett was married at Maumee, Ohio, Nov. 13, 1873, to Chloe A
Emery, a daughter of Samuel and Henrietta A. (Reese) Emery, both natives of
Ohio and now deceased. Samuel Emery was a union soldier during the Civil War.
Mrs. Bassett was born in Ohio, March 2, 1849. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett have one
adopted daughter, which they reared as their own child, Clara. She married
Oscar Koblitz, manager of the shoe department of the Henry Levy Company of
Moberly.
Mr. Bassett is a Republican and one of the old time members of the
Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. During the Civil War he
served in the 131st Ohio Regiment, which was known as the home guards, for 90
days. He is one of the substantial and highly respected citizens of Randolph
County.
Mr. Bassett made a trip to Alaska, of which he gives the following
brief account: "I left Moberly the 1st day of March, 1898, went on the steamer
Seattle from Seattle to Skagway. From Skagway we started for the scales and
west over the summit the 9th of April, then on to Lake Bennett. Made a boat
there to hold 11 tons, sawing our own lumber, and reached Dawson the 24th of
April. I went to Eagle City, reaching there the 1st of July, and located, then
went more than 2,000 miles with dog teams. When I left Eagle City I was the
oldest resident there. Later I went to St. Michaels and Nome. West 80 miles
from Nome to Fisk river, which empties into the Arctic, carrying our packs on
our backs. We sailed on Behring Sea, then Pacific Ocean, back to Seattl
after spending 2 ˝ years in Alaska. While there I took dinner with Indi
Chief Sam. Had ticket No. 1 at the big dinner at Eagle City, which I still
have. United States soldiers were stationed at the military post."

COMMEMORATIVE BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD OF WINDHAM COUNTY, CONNECTIC
Augustus Bassett

During the busiest part of his well directed life, Augustus Bassett
was identified with business interests in Danielson, Windham county, where his
death occurred several years after his retirement, Dec. 25, 1899. He was not
only a shrewd financier and public-spirited citizen, but he performed t
inestimable service to those around him of making them forget their troubles,
and look on the happy side of life. He was a delightful wit; a gifted
raconteur, and had the faculty of appreciating a joke at his own expense. He
enjoyed music and flowers and the beautiful things of this world, and carried
around with him a disposition which sought out the pleasant rather than the
disagreeable. Such have always a host of friends, and build up memories in the
hearts and minds of all who know them. Mr. Bassett was born on the paternal
farm in Killingly, Jan. 21, 1821 a son of John, and grandson of John Bassett,
the latter of whom lived and died on his farm in the northern part of
Killingly.
John Bassett, the father of Augustus, was born in Killingly, and after
the death of his parents succeeded to the possession of the home far
built the house now standing on the farm, and in the course of time greatly
increased his landed possessions. He was a general farmer and stock raiser and
through hard work, economy, and natural thrift became one of the largest land
owners and most successful business farmers in the town. His personal
appearance carried out the general impression of worth conveyed through his
attainments for he was more than six feet tall, of splendid proportions, and
was considered very fine looking. In his prime he could accomplish an enormous
amount of hard work, more than any of his sons were ever capable of, and his
unusual activity remained with him until a short time before his death June
22, 1859, at the age of eighty-nine years and ten months. He was a Whig
politically, and held a few town offices, and he was a devout member of the
Congregational Church, towards the support of which he was a liberal
contributor. He had much to do with the building and subsequent maintenance
of the Dayville church. Twice married, the first wife of Mr. Bassett was
formerly Lucy Walker, of Killingly, who died Oct. 16, 1814, at the a
forty-three. She was the mother of seven children, all of whom became respected
and useful members of the community of Killingly. For a second wife Mr.
Bassett married Susan Grinman, of Thompson, Conn., who died Dec. 31, 1852 at
the age of seventy-two. The children of this union were as follows: Betsey,
the wife of Abel Williams, who taken sick on the voyage to Europe, and after
her death in London, was interred in Greenwood cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y., and
Augustus.
In his youth Augustus Bassett saw more of the work than the pleasure
or profit of farm life, and when comparatively young began to cherish
ambitions remote from the occupation of his forefathers. Notwithstanding that
his labors extended from the rising to the setting of the sun, he managed to
qualify as a teacher in the public schools, and at the age of fifteen h
started upon a career of teaching, many of his pupils being both older and
larger than himself. In the meantime his wages were drawn by his father, who,
up to his twenty-first year, placed them unbeknown in the bank, to the credit
of his son. This fact did not develop until after the death of the older man,
and it was then found that his parental forethought had resulted in a nice
little sum. While teaching, Augustus worked on the farm in the summer time, his
father having given him the farm as an inducement to continue to devote his
life to that occupation. He remained in possession of the homestead unt
after the Civil War, and then, because of his aversion to country life, sold
the farm, and purchased a saw and grist mill of Deacon Ezekiel Burlingame, at
Attawaugan. For about a dozen years he made a fair success of his milli
business, eventually disposing of the mill to Charles Young, after which he
purchased a grain and feed store in Danielson, of Deacon Burlingame. In the
feed business he was ably assisted by his son, Charles W., and continued to do
business in a room in the Exchanged Block, until the death of his son. He then
disposed of the enterprise, and lived comparatively retired for the rest of
his life. His declining years knew no bitterness because of long continued
illness, but he rather maintained a cheerful demeanor, and the same
effervescent jollity of mood in the wake of his declining powers. Up to the
last he liked to be surrounded with friends, and was particularly partial to
hitching up his horse and taking his friends to drive.
On May 18, 1848, Mr. Bassett married Sarah Jane Walker, born in
Medway, Mass., Aug. 9, 1820, a daughter of Clark and Sarah (Lovering) Walker.
Clark Walker was a successful farmer of Medway, and himself and wife lived
retired for many years, eventually dying at the home of their son-in-law, in
Danielson. To Augustus Bassett and wife were born the following children: (1)
Anna Lovering, born Sep. 7, 1849, was a graduate of Aiken Seminary, owned by
her aunt, Mrs. Williams, and died unmarried, July 29, 1887. (2) Fred Eugene,
born June 23, 1853, was professionally trained in medicine under Dr. Joseph E.
Winters, of New York City, and at the College of Physicians & Surgeons, New
York, from which latter institution he graduated with honors. He has a very
large and lucrative practice at Rye, N.Y., and is a man of means and extended
popularity. Oct 15, 1884, Dr. Bassett married Harriet L. Williams, of which
union there are three children: Wilfred Walker, born Oct. 25 1885; Dorothea
Lovering, born April 29, 1889; and John Clarke, born Oct. 29, 1890. (3)
Charles Warren, born Jan. 1, 1856, was his father's assistant in business, and
met death by drowning at Thompson, Conn., while out with a party of friends,
Aug. 13, 1875. (4) Lewis Augustus, born Dec. 24, 1859, died Sept. 6, 1860. (5)
Nellie Walker, born May 30, 1861, and died Feb. 14, 1865. (6) John Clarke,
born Aug. 26, 1864, attended the schools of Danielson, and for a time w
traveling salesman for the Jacobs Manufacturing Company, of Danielso
later went to Langford, S. Dak., and became interested in the banking business
with Edwin Davis, formerly of Danielson, as cashier of the Langford National
Bank. He later established the Aberdeen National Bank, at Aberdeen, S. Dak,
and at the present time is president of both the above mentioned institutions.
He resides at Aberdeen, and is a very successful man and fine financier. On
June 29, 1892, Mr. Bassett married Harriet J. Galbraith, of Minneapolis,
Minn., and of this union there are four children; Ruth Lovering, born May 17,
1893; Helene Walker, born Sept. 5, 1894, Marjorie, born Aug. 2, 1896, a
Clarke Davis, born Nov., 1898. Mrs. Bassett, beloved for her many admirable
personal qualities, and rich in the possession of many well spent years,
retained her mental and physical alertness, until her death, Sep.6, 1902.

The big dinner this year was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Bassett, two and a half miles south of Waldron.
Thos present were John R. Bassett, of Van Buren township; Charles Bassett, wife and child, Harry Logan and family, of Greenfield; County Clerk Otto Coyle and wife, Otto Harris, wife and children, and Mrs. Havey Wilkerson, daughter of John R. and wife, Ollie C. Bassett, wife and four children, of Waukesha, Wis.
Then comes sons and families of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Bassett: Herbert Bassett, wife and two sons, Ernest Bassett, wife and four children, and W.V> Bassett, wife and child of Kokomo. All were related except Joseph Dehority, who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Bassett, and he had as big a time as anybody.
Two big turkeys graced the table and there were other meats and delicious viands in abundance. Everyone had a grand good time and all look forward to the next New Year?s dinner, which will be the 25th. There were only four of the older generation present, John R. Bassett and wife and Marshall Bassett and wife. In all there were 47 present and they sure did justice to the splendid feast and social festivities.
