Mabel Bassett
The graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Brumbaugh Cemetery in Cottage Grove for Mabel Agnus Bassett of Sublimity, formerly of Lane County, who died March 20 of age-related causes. She was 96.
She was born September 3, 1913, in San Diego to William and Lula Bennett Chapman.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Ronald of Sanford, Colorado; two daughters, Elizabeth Farnworth of Oliver, British Columbia, and Peggy Usher of Gibbonsville, Idaho; six grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Her husband of 45 years, Virgil Bassett, died Aug. 28, 1979.

Graveside services for John R. Bassett, 81, who died Sunday at his home, 846 B. Street, Ramona, will be at 11 a.m. today in Neuvo Memory Gardens there. Bonham Brothers Mortuary is in charge.
A retired railroad foreman, Bassett was born in Missouri. He had lived at Ramona since 1927.
Surviving are his widow, Minnie; two sons, including Riley, of Ramona; two daughters, including Mrs. Inez Saint Sing of San Diego; a sister, Mrs. Iva White of Ramona, and a brother.
