His overall dual-match record is 568-89-2. His teams have won seven NCAA team championships, 13 conference championships and have never had a losing season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bassett was a three-year letterman at UCLA from 1948-1950 and was a captain when UCLA won its first NCAA team tennis title in 1950.
