Bassett<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The funeral took place at Northwich Cemetery, on Saturday, of Mr. Absalom Bassett, 10, Paradise-street, Northwich whose death occurred in his 78<sup>th<\/sup> years. Mr. Bassett was an I.C.I. pensioner, and was the recipient of the silver and gold watches and medals for his 47 years\u2019 service with the Company. He was also a member of the Bourne Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>The services at the Bourne Methodist Church and Cemetery were conducted by the Rev. E.S. Cheeseright and the mourners were Mrs. Basset, widow; Mr. G Bassett and Mrs. and Mrs. S. Bassett, sons and daughter-in-law; Miss Edith Bassett, daughter; Messrs. Joe and Bert Bassett, brothers; Miss C. Kettle, sister-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. F. Roberts, Mrs. J.A. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. A. Rowbottome and Mr. C. Haycock, brothers-in-law and sisters; and Mrs. W. Thompson, niece.<\/p>\n<p>Also present were Mr. and Mrs. F. Brindley, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewis, Mesdames M. Done, J. Mayers, M. Sharpes, Ranie and F. Stelfox, Mr. W. Holland, Miss N. Platt, and Miss J. Lang, friends.<\/p>\n<p>Wreaths were from Margaret, wife; Gerald, Sydney and Edith; Auntie Clara and Edith; Florrie and Jack (Hartford); Joe and Nora (Winnington); Bert; Jennie, Belle, and Carl (Lancaster); Mary and family (Lancaster); Sydney, Rene, and Beryl; Beryl to Grandid; Mr. and Mrs. Bowland; Dolly and Fred (Old Trafford); Edie and Albert (Coventry); Cissie and Wilf (Romiley); Mr. and Mrs. Rowbottom and family; Ethel and Geoff; All at 14, Paradise-street; Neighbours of Paradise-street; Mrs. Done and Mr. Barrett; Mrs. Sharpes and family (Winsford); Mr. and Mrs. Holland; and Mrs. Meyers.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. W.
