Bassett<\/p>\n<p>For many years, I have had Joseph and John S. Bassett listed with unknown origin. With the recent completion of a Y-DNA test for this family line, we know that Joseph and John S. Bassett are descendants of William Bassett.<\/p>\n<p>Through a Facebook history page, Trevor Bassett uncovered the 1811 census of Lubec listing the oldest brother in the 1811 census. We have now linked this family up as seen above.<\/p>\n<p>+ 146B1. Joseph Bassett &#8211; born about 1811 in New Brunswick, married (1) Mary Wilson (2) Sarah Jane Ludlow before 1861.<\/p>\n<p>+ 146B2. John S.
