Claire Bassett ? Providence
CLAIRE BASSETT, 81, of Leander Street, died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of Niles V. Bassett.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Bernardo and Catherine (Zannini) Lupoli, she had lived in Providence most of her life, having also resided in Johnston and North Providence.
She was a member of the Manton Senior Citizens, the Manton Senior Bowling League, the Violet Hill Club at Hillcrest Apartments and the former Blessed Sacrament Senior Citizens.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Gina DiPetrillo of North Providence; three brothers, Mario Lupoli and Adolph Lupoli, both of North Providence, and Livio "Lee" Lupoli of Johnston; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the B. Maceroni & Sons Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9 in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
