Cecile E. (Lebel) Bassett, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her home.
Funeral Services for Cecile will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Stephen Shugert officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will follow in the St. John's Cemetery in Jackson, MI at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Hospice or to the Isabella County Soup Kitchen. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Cecile was born on January 27, 1921 in Canada, the youngest of 12 children. She married John Bassett, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2008. She worked for Fabiano Brothers for many years. Cecile was a loving and caring person who adopted many "children" over the years.
Cecile is survived by her nephew, Phillip (Sharon) Estaver; friends, Wendy and Stephen Shugert; many nieces and nephews; and special caretaker, Nicole Yoder.
Cecile was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; brothers and sisters.
