Miriam Bassett
BASSETT, MIRIAM E. (GILBODY) 92, of Providence, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre, in North Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Bassett. Miriam's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Miriam E. Bassett (Gilbody) 92, of Providence, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre, in North Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Bassett.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Miner) Gilbody.
She leaves her five children, Robert E. Bassett, Jr., of Portsmouth, David J. Bassett, of Idaho, Rodney T. Bassett, of Johnston, Cathleen M. Hunter, of Warwick, and Judy A. Bassett, of Providence; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Gilbody and Agnes Sherman.
