Miss Fout Is Bride of Mr. Bass
Florence - (Special) - Miss Doris Juanita Fout, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dorise Fout of Clinton Forge, Virginia, was wed to Jerome Edward Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Bass of Florence, on the afternoon of June 16 at the home of the bride with the Reverend W.A. Brooks, pastor of the Clifton Forge Baptist church, officiating.
Wedding music was presented by Mrs. M.P. Lawrence, organist, and Miss Frances Chandler, vocalist.
The brideā??s only attendant was her sister, Mrs. C.C. Staton, who was the matron of honor. She wore pink net with matching stole and carried a bouguet of pink and white asters.
Serving as best man was Harold Lollis of Greenville and ushers were C.C. Staton and Lieutenant M.P. Lawrence, Jr.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her wedding gown of white Chantilly lace, ankle-length, was fashioned with a long sleeved bolero jacket and her veil of illusion in shoulder length was worn with a headpiece of stephanotis. She carried a white Bible topped with a spray of white roses.
For traveling the bride changed to a dress of navy blue with matching accessories and a white pique duster with corsage of white roses. After a wedding trip the couple are making their home in Greenville in the McDaniel Heights apartment.
Mrs. Bass is a graduate of Mars Hill Junior college, Mars Hill, North Carolina, and Furman University.
Mr. Bass is a graduate of Furman University and a member of Theta Chi fraternity.

Mrs. Doris Fout Bass, 60 of Columbia, Maryland died December 23, 1988. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Bass, Columbia, Maryland; sons, Leslie E. Bass, Larry D. bass, daughter Edith R. Bass of Duluth, one granddaughter, Rachelle Bass, sisters, Frankie Staton of Clifton Forge, Va.; Edith Lawrence of Waynesboro, Va. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Crowell Bros. Funeral Home, Norcross in charge of arrangements. 448-5757.
