Mrs. William E. Bassett Sr.
Services for Mrs. Rose Carmichael Bassett, 81, of 140 Otis street, Stratford, widow of William E. Bassett Sr., who died Thursday in Bridgeport hospital, will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Dennis and D?Arcy funeral home, 2611 Main street, Stratford with the Rev. Edward E. Morgan, rector of St. Paul?s Episcopal church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview cemetery.
Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Bassett was a member of Purity Shrine, one; the Augusta Riehl club, the Over 21 club; Azalia chapter 2; the Azalia Sewing circle; Stratford Court 21, Order of Amaranth; Amaranth Thimble club, and Pyremus Temple 82, Daughters of the Nile.
Surviving are three sons, William E. Bassett Jr. and Milton W. Bassett, both of Stratford, and Clarence L. Bassett, of Milford, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
