  Notes	South Coast Today, 30 Oct 2001 Mary C. Bessette, 93 FORT MYERS, Fla. – Mary C. (Caires) Bessette, 83, of Cape Coral and Fort Myers, Fla., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at the Tandem Health Care Center. She was the wife of Roger Bessette. Born in Portugal, May 4, 1908, daughter of the late John and Virginia (Martin) Caires, she lived in New Bedford until moving to Cape Coral in 1967. Mrs. Bessette was a former communicant of St. Anthony Church in New Bedford and St. Andrew’s Church in Cape Coral. Survivors include her widower; a sister, Laura Correira of Long Beach, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow Wednesday from the Brooklawn Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Court, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, New Bedford and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
