Mrs. Bassett Died at 65
A resident of Ogdensburg all of her life, Mrs. Maude Bassett, 65, 121 Lafayette St., died Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been in failing health for some time.
Her husband, Nelson Bassett, died years ago, and since then Mrs. Bassett had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Douglas of 121 Lafayette St.
She had been employed for a time at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital; and was a member of Nortre Dame Church parish.
Mrs. Bassett was born in Ogdensburg on May 31, 1892, a daughter of the late Philomene Ferkell and Alexander Bouchey, and attended local schools. Her marriage to Mr. Bassett took place in 1918.
