Danielson
John B. Bassett Dies At Putnam Hospital
John B. Bassett died at the Day-Kimball hospital in Putnam at 3:45 Friday afternoon, following an operation by which his right foot was amputated at the ankle a few days ago. Mr. Bassett was a native of Canada, but had been a resident of Danielson since he was thirteen years of age. He has been employed for years by the Quinebaug company, but of late years has conducted a farm and operated a cider mill on lower Broad street. He leaves his wife and four children, John B. Jr., Oliver and Mrs. William Ross of Danielson and Fred W. Bassett of Providence.
