  1. 1.  Ira Weldon Hafford was born on 28 May 1906 in Cooke County, Texas; died on 4 Jan 1977 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas; was buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.

    Notes:

    Ira was quite active on his father's farm with the stock and machinery
    and cars. He had a black horse named Parker. In 1919, he had his own truck for
    hauling produce. He helped install the first telephone poles about 1921. He
    became restless and in 1923 moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with his uncle Will and
    Aunt Pearl Hafford. He was not satisfied there, so he moved to Kansas City,
    Missouri, to attend Sweeny Automotive School. He became an automotive mechanic
    and supervisor. Ira and Elizabeth went to Hawaii for their 40th anniversary.

    Ira married Elizabeth Loban on 2 Nov 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri. Elizabeth was born on 22 Mar 1905 in Boulder, Colorado; died in Deceased. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
