  Notes	Mrs. F.P. Bassett Buried Sunday at Liberty Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Grove Methodist Church for Mrs. F. P. Bassett, age 79, who died Friday afternoon April 4 at her home in Oak Grove Community. Rev. Coffer, pastor of the Oak Grove Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. Barnett, pastor of the Greenwood Methodist Church, officiated at the service. Mrs. Bassett, (Aunt Nora) to her many friends was a native of Tennessee. She came to Arkansas in early childhood. She was a devoted Christian and had been a member of the Methodist church since a young girl. Her husband the late F. P. Bassett, died Feb. 17, 1940. Both were widely known throughout the county. Mrs. Bassett is survived by five sons, Sidney, of Sanger, Calif., Doyle and Roy of Fort Smith, Carl and Orville of Greenwood; six daughters, Mrs. Henry Ray of Lavaca, Mrs. Rufe Been, Mrs. Hite Lewis, Mrs. Virgil Been, Mrs. Harris Heartsill and Mrs. Everett Gant all of Greenwood, four brothers T.H., J.L., and A.R Joyce of Greenwood and C.E. Joyce of Fort Smith; five sisters, Mrs. Jim Bell, Mrs. Rufe Richardson and Mrs. W.O. McConnell of Greenwood, Mrs. Harmon Durden of Fort Smith and Mrs. Ervin Harris of Fort Worth, Texas; her stepmother, Mrs. Jane Joyce, one half-brother, Paul Joyce and one half sisters, Mrs. Esma Smoot al of Greenwood; forty grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Pall Bearers were all grandsons. They were: Hilton Gant, James Bassett, Kenneth Been, Glenn Bassett, Harris Lewis and Farris Been. Burial was as Liberty cemetery under the direction of the McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
