Lexer Ruth Rogers
(HUGULEY) Funeral services for Lexer Ruth Rogers, 80, of Huguley, formerly of Opelika, will be held Thursday, July 27, 1995, at 11 a.m. from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Steve Vickers officiating. Burial will be at Forrester's Chapel Church cemetery in Randolph County.
Mrs. Rogers died Tuesday, July 25, at Brian Care Center in LaGrange.
A Clay County native, she was born June 10, 1915, daughter of Jim and Nora Padgett Bassett. She was Baptist by faith and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Wilbur Sims of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Anna Mayo Allen and Louise Foster, both of LaGrange, Ga., and Lillian Tabaka of Clinton Township, Mich.; three brothers, Edward Bassett of Wedowee, Vernon Bassett of Mobile and Holmes Bassett of Selma; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 26.
Nephews will served as pallbearers.
Quattlebuam Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
