Curtis L. Bassett
MILLEN – Ga. – Curtis Luther Bassett, 58, died Friday at his residence after a short illness.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today in the Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a dairy farmer and a life-long resident of Jenkins County. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ollie Bell Lane Bassett, Millen; one daughter, Mrs. Billy Allgood, Millen; two sons, Douglas Bassett, Hendersonville, Ga., and Sgt. Kenny Bassett, Fort Pope, La.; one brother, Henry Bassett, Sylvania, seven sisters, Mrs. Reba Bassett, Mrs. Jesse McBride, Mrs. George McBride, and Mrs. Floyd McBride, Sylvania, Mrs. Bishop Jenkins, Sardis, Ga., Mrs. W.R. Royals and Mrs. Ida Water, Thomason, Ga.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Friends may call at Fletcher Funeral Home, Millen, until the hour of services.
