Mrs. E.H. Bassett Is Taken By Death; Rites To Be Today
Mrs. Effie Hillman Bassett, 66, died yesterday at a local infirmary after an illness of six weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock. Rev. Father Michael Doona will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Geter, Ed Leonard, Pat Buckley, Gus Smaragdis, Boots O’Brien and Howard Daniel.
Survivors are one son, Earl Bassett; two daughters, Miss Alberta Bassett and Mrs. Ed Dixon, both of Augusta; one grandchild, Frederick E. Sommer; brother, George Hillman of Columbus, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.
