Adley Augusta Bass
CASTLE HAYNE -- Adley Augusta Bass died Wednesday May 25, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center. He was born Nov. 25, 1929 in Columbus County, son of the late Willie James Bass and Cora Buffkin Bass. He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Bass; and a sister, Evelyn Dail.
Mr. Bass retired from New Hanover County as a Real Estate Appraiser.
Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Castle Hayne Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday May 27 at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Bass; three children, Bryan Bass and Michael Bass, both of Wilmington, Vicki McGraw and husband, David, of Melissa, Texas; two sisters, Annie Malcolm of Charlotte, Susie Davis of Hartsville, S.C.; and three brothers, Audrey Bass of Stanley, Slade Bass of Wilmington and Edward Bass.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Castle Hayne Baptist Church Building Fund.
