Cassius was sheriff of Owen County for a while. I particularly need information on the parents of Cassius' wife, Nancy ROE (1782-1858), who was apparently an orphan raised by William Bassett and his wife, Margaret McQuiddy. Were Nancy's parents killed in an Indian raid in the 1780s? (Merritt D.
