BIOGRAPHY: My gg-grandfather was James CLAXON (1805-1843), son of Cassius CLAXON (1782-1872). Cassius was sheriff of Owen County for a while. I particularly need information on the parents of Cassius' wife, Nancy ROE (1782-1858), who was apparently an orphan raised by William Bassett and his wife, Margaret McQuiddy. Were Nancy's parents killed in an Indian raid in the 1780s? (Merritt D. Mullen)

BIOGRAPHY: McMullen>Mullen>Mullin from Ireland to KY to MO
Descendants of John and Mary McMullen who migrated from Ireland to Kentucky about 1825. Their children dropped the "Mc" and used "Mullen" or "Mullin."
